Mission & Vision: In its 9th consecutive year, this drive will support distributing school bags and stationery to underprivileged students in remote rural areas of Maharashtra, India. So far, this campaign has benefited 22,939 students across 272 schools in 20 districts. This initiative focuses on fostering educational development in underserved communities, empowering students on the path of knowledge, supporting rural children who lack access to basic educational resources, giving wings to their dreams of learning and rising high. The voluntary contributions received help students to get:
• School stationery: notebooks, pens, pencils, etc
• School bags: sturdy bags to carry their dreams
• School libraries: access to books and reading material
• Clean drinking water: ensuring health alongside education
During this bag packing event, volunteers will get chance to pack school bags with stationery including notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, colors, etc. These packed bags will be sent across multiple schools children in rural areas of Maharashtra, India
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Social impact and community development will be main learning. Volunteering for this event gives you understanding of grassroots level challenges with education in rural areas. You will learn how small interventions (school bags, notebooks, pens, etc.) create lasting impact on these students!
