Helen Cooke is an executive coach and founder of Cooke Consulting Group, a New Jersey-based business specializing in coaching for pharmaceutical and life science executives. She is a recognized expert in strengthening emotional intelligence and related “soft skills” in leaders and their teams.
Prior to founding Cooke Consulting Group 13 years ago, Helen worked within the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry and her last internal position was Director, Organizational Effectiveness at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical (a Johnson & Johnson company).
In 2011 Helen was named one of New Jersey’s Top 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ. She is active in the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), International Coach Federation, BioNJ, Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy, and Society for Human Resource Management. Helen is past President of the HBA Board – Greater Philadelphia Chapter. Previously, she chaired HBA - Metro Chapter’s Career Development Conference. She has been quoted in numerous publications including the New York Times and has been interviewed by Bloomberg Radio. She presents at conferences on topics related to leadership, team development, and organizational development.
Helen received her MS degree in Organization Development from American University, her BS degree in Human Resources from Arcadia University, her coaching certification from the Hudson Institute of Coaching, and her emotional intelligence 360 certification through Hay Group. She lives in Haddon Heights, NJ with her spouse and a smattering of rescue dogs and cats, where she valiantly carves out time for creative writing.
