HBA is seeking members who would like to serve as Learning Circle Facilitators during the HBA Annual Conference (taking place 8-10 November). Learning Circle facilitators will lead small group discussions to engage fellow members in a unique, interactive learning experience. Learning circles will dive deeper into the content, extend conversations, allow members to share ideas and experiences, and reflect on the conference sessions together.
Expectations:
- You will create a sense of belonging and inclusion for others.
- You thrive in small group interactions, actively listen, and cultivate conversations.
- Groups will meet once prior to the start of the Annual Conference, twice during the conference, and once at the close. You must be available during these times
- Pre-Conference Meeting Week of 24 October for 1 hour
- 8 November 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm ET
- 9 November 1:30 pm – 2:10 pm ET
- 10 November 1:15 pm – 2:00 pm ET
- You are comfortable with using the Zoom interface.
- HBA will prepare you for this role by providing a facilitator guide, PPT template, sharing ice breakers, content outline, and conversation starters that tie into our daily content topics. We’ll also host a volunteer facilitator orientation to answer any content or technical questions.
Time Commitment: 4 hours, plus any HBA Annual Conference sessions you would like to attend
