Each HBA Region is home to a Membership Department, which is responsible for the growth and retention of HBA’s membership base in the region. Their focus is member recruitment and regional engagement activities/initiatives across the region. The primary Membership committees are:
- Member recruitment: focus on outreach to potential prospects at ‘Meet the HBA’ events and provides guidance to chapters on appropriate execution for chapter-level membership events; conducts member outreach to new and expiring members in the region who are not aligned to a specific chapter; in conjunction/collaboration with Corporate Relations, holds ‘Lunch & Learn’ events sharing the value of HBA with corporate partner company employees.
- Member engagement: focus on hosting ‘Making the Most of Your Membership’ events to provide orientations to new HBA members and help existing members learn how to get the best possible value from their HBA membership; organizes outreach to members who have not selected a chapter to find ways to more effectively engage them; regular engagement with members via the regional member Community; builds “volunteer pool” of prospective volunteers.
