Purpose of Role:
- The AG Global Committee needs to understand the challenges and needs of the regions and chapters to better serve our HBA members. Although we will be having periodic meetings with all the regional MVO presidents, we believe that the AG Global Committee would benefit from having direct contact with the MVO presidents on a more frequent basis.
- The mentoring program is one of the largest programs run by the HBA. We have identified two opportunities for the AGGC to work with the mentoring program: 1) Create awareness for the AGs with mentoring program participants to encourage them to either join AGs and/or volunteer with AGs to continue their participation with the HBA, 2) Work with the Mentoring Program leadership to determine ways to create mentoring program groups that align to the Affinity Group areas of interest.
Example responsibilities:
- Meets with Global AG Committee to understand strategic imperatives & needs
- Meets with regional MVO presidents to understand current challenges and needs
- Raises awareness of regional and chapter level needs to the AGGC
- Works with AGGC to develop & implement best practices
- Meets with the Mentoring Program leadership and HBA staff to understand what is currently being done to promote AGs to mentoring program participants and discuss ways to implement AG-specific mentoring program groups
- Makes suggestions for improving AG awareness
- Works with AG MarComm Director to create additional marketing assets as needed
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per month
