The Expansion (branches) Sub-committee develops strategic growth plans that expand HBA’s reach and impact. Using insights gathered by the Market Research Committee and other sources, members help identify high-priority opportunities for expansion and ensure that new initiatives are aligned with HBA’s mission.
This committee also ensures that new branches have the information, resources and connections that they need to thrive, and potentially become chapters.
Key Responsibilities
- Fine-tune and implement strategy and tactics to enable a robust framework that helps to nurture branch locations, including ensuring they are connected to their regions and have the information and resources they need to succeed.
- Act as a resource and a connector to branches and to regional leaders who need more information on branches in their geography so that they can better support them.
- Contribute to the development of multi-year expansion strategies, including prioritization of new markets.
- Collaborate with HBA staff, volunteer leaders, and partners to ensure expansion plans are feasible, scalable, and mission-driven.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on risks, challenges, and resource needs tied to growth.
- Act as an ambassador for expansion initiatives, sharing insights and updates with the broader HBA community.
