The Global Committee Chair (@Anita Burrell) and Deputy Chair (@Melissa Johnston) are looking for a virtual volunteer to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Global Committee Council (GCC). The GCC works closely with the HBA staff (aka HBA Central) to take board-determined priorities and to translate them into an operating plan with initiatives and priorities. The GCC consists of senior volunteer leaders who have experience in the HBA and are able to bring their strategic and organizational skills to drive forward the mission of the HBA. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in further developing their leadership and executive skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the most senior volunteers with the HBA who have decades of leadership and volunteer experience. In addition to assisting in the operations of the GCC, the candidate will have direct one-on-one interaction with Anita and Melissa who will help to guide and mentor the GCC operations admin.
Assigned Tasks:
- Help to set & distribute agenda for all GCC calls (approx. 2-3 per month)
- Supports chair and deputy with creating presentations as needed
- Attend GCC calls as timekeeper & notetaker
- Compiles & distributes meeting materials through email and uploads to GCC Community library
- Assists GCC Chair & Deputy Chair follow-up on meeting recaps and action items
- Helps to draft HBA community posts & updates
Estimated Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
